
Jeff Hannan (Partner) founded Strata Venture Partners in 2001. For over 20 years, he has worked on a wide range of venture development, investment, and advisory projects across industries including technology, financial services, consumer products, sports & entertainment, and education.
An integral part of SVP’s strategy, includes Jeff’s pioneering work with social purpose venture development. His most notable social purpose work includes a Farber Fellowship with REDF (Roberts Enterprise Development Fund), the California Department of Education’s largest investigation of a charter school operator, and serving as the Enterprise Development Director with the Jacobs Family Foundation’s Market Creek Community Ownership Initiative.
Prior to founding Strata Venture Partners, Jeff worked as an investment banker with the firms Kidder Peabody, Wedbush Morgan, and Merrill Lynch.
Jeff currently serves as an Instructor of Entrepreneurship in the UCLA UCExcelerator, program, and has taught Entrepreneurship and Social Entrepreneurship at The University of Pennsylvania, and UCLA’s Anderson School.
Jeff received his BA from the University of Rhode Island, and holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management. As a Doctoral candidate at the University of Pennsylvania (ABD), Jeff has served as a Researcher and Instructor of Social and Educational Entrepreneurship.
